Triathlon training

Triathlon Mesquer-Quimiac 2011

Do you know someone who wish to shed of excess weight and is tireless for searching diet pill or whatever miracle cure that will aid weight loss? Tell him it doesn’t take a miracle to succeed in reducing the fat in one’s body. Triathlon training is able to do the same result and also with the same time frame some of these miracle herbs are promising! The only difference between the two is that triathlon training, even in reality works! It not only does what you want in the television, in pictures or whatever media you have seen their advertisements on; it does what is promised right after you have delivered the requirement the sport demands.

Our society today is in dire need of help. One of the most dangerous factors which most of us still fail to recognize is our consumption of fast foods. Fast food creates a double whammy on health when you lead a desk-bound lifestyle. Ton of calories are present in fast food and so eating this can cause needless weight gain, obesity, and overall poor health especially by greasy burgers and fries. In the US, Fifty million people are dependent on fast food that means lot of people eats a poor diet. America is not the only country having alarming fast food chain number increase. If one takes a look at the statistics of fast food on overweight Americans, it might cause your confusion because they are considered the leaders of the fast food industry. McDonald’s, Subway and Burger King are the fast food restaurants which are situated in most of all the major cities of the world.

Triathlon training has been given a new audience after successful Olympic Games appearances which have enabled billions of worldwide viewers to see, first hand, the fitness levels and physical demands this sport can place on even the fittest of today’s triathletes. Triathlons are a three disciplined event, combining swimming, cycling and running over three main distances.

As a beginner, the most important mistake a lot of newbie fail to watch out for is overtraining. You have to have a progression. Very much like climbing a stair, you move up a level one you feel comfortable with the easier ones. When it comes to triathlon training, I have never been comfortable with the traditional philosophies of “no pain, no gain”. I really dislike the tough-guy jock mentality of “the more of an exercise you do, the better it will work”. You see, the human body has its limits of what it can handle before it starts to break down. This breakdown is often called over training. I realized first with my own training — and later on with my coaching clients — that you can’t treat your swimming training the same way as you do for your cycling or running training. Each part of the triathlon training — swimming, running, and cycling — stresses the body differently… so you need to train differently for each leg. If you’re a beginner looking for the best way to get started then there are a lot of resources available to you. You could join clubs, pay for a trainer, or just self study by watching video contents on the internet; all of which can guide you towards the perfect triathlon training fit for you.
